Layouts

Horizontal

The horizontal layout is easier to read since each line of writing is horizontal. People with large handwriting prefer to use a horizontal layout as it is easier to fit the text horizontal. Also, people who tend to write longer phrases and sentences for their daily tasks might find more comfort in getting a horizontal layout.

Vertical

A vertical layout is a popular way for people to organize their daily activities and keep track of what they need to accomplish and is a good choice for organizing everyday plans.

The vertical layout has been around for a while and is used by list-makers who are interested in managing their lists. The general theme is a column for each day across a weekly view. This layout works well for people who have a to-do list, but it doesn’t work for every situation.

Vertical and horizontal mixed layout

The vertical and horizontal mixed layout is the latest combination of mixing the two layouts to get the best of both worlds. This layout is made up of a vertical column of content on the left, combined with a horizontal row of content on the right. This allows you to have a lot of content in one place.

Yearly

Yearly planners layout is commonly a combination of either a weekly planner or monthly planner with a combination of several other specific layout pages, such as habit tracker, bucket lists, books to read, notes, etc.

Bi-Annually

Bi-Annually planners layout is generally a 6-month organizer/planner layout. It serves best for people who are working on long-term goals or projects in the range of half-yearly. As a result, this layout helps in achieving continuity by preventing the user from losing focus.

Quarterly

Quarterly planners layout is a combined form of 3 months organizer. It is one of the efficient layouts to organize things in a space-saving manner without skipping the important details.

Monthly

If you are looking for a planner which can cover a wide range of organizing bullet points with a whole month overview, a monthly planner is the best choice. Monthly planners are particularly lightweight and very easy to carry around. Monthly planners could comprise just 12 monthly sheets, or they might also include extra notes page in between the month’s page.

Weekly

The most commonly used planner type is the weekly planner, and most types of planners come in a weekly planning style. The days of a weekly planner span from one to four pages long. It is not as time-consuming as a monthly planner, so you should consider getting a weekly planner over a monthly one. There are many different types of planners available in the market. However, most planners are set up similarly. For example, they generally come equipped with a page for notes or a daily checklist.

The problem with the daily and weekly planners is that they don’t give you enough room to work with. These planners are great for those with short-term memory, but if you need to write down longer-term plans or keep yourself organized in general, a more complex planner may be better.

Daily

Daily planners usually consist of 365 pages, provided that each day has its own separate page. Hence daily planners are thick in size and heavier in contrast to other planners. The layout of the daily planner consists of one main section for organizing the day in the form of bullet points. Afterward, it has multiple side sections for ‘To-do lists,’ Appointments, and then notes, etc., at the bottom.

Hourly

Hourly planners layout mainly a part of daily planners layout. Moreover, the hourly planners layout lets the user organize the day in an hourly format. Furthermore, there is a more advanced layout of the hourly planner in the form of a half-hourly planners layout. In conclusion, a half-hourly layout provides the opportunity to plan the day in a half-hourly format rather than hourly.
